This study explores whether AI-generated sexualized content could help mitigate physically demanding or potentially harmful production conditions for humans.

In a recent pilot study, Dr. Jessica Szczuka and Natalia Szymczyk investigated audience preferences, revealing that while human actors are generally preferred for neutral sexualized content, there is a noticeable shift towards a preference for computer-generated material when the content becomes more explicit.

These findings contribute to the ongoing discussion about the role of AI in digital intimacy and its potential to offer safer alternatives in content production. The study is now published in Studies in Communication and Media by Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft, with further research—including an eye-tracking study—currently underway.
