We’re thrilled to share that our team lead, Dr. Jessica Szczuka, has been appointed Adjunct Associate Professor at the QUT Centre for Justice, Queensland University of Technology.
The appointment grew out of collaborations sparked by her research on the challenges posed by AI-generated abuse material, one of the most urgent and complex issues at the intersection of AI, psychology, and justice. It reflects the strength of the interdisciplinary partnership she has built with Professor Kelly Richards and the team at the Centre for Justice, and the two will continue working together on pressing challenges at the intersection of AI and justice.
The visit to Australia brought several other highlights: new research ideas with Dr. Nadine Ostern at QUT, an in-person meeting with long-time collaborator Raffaele Ciriello (University of Sydney), and Dr. Szczuka joining Noah Rose’s PhD supervision team as an external supervisor, alongside Eric Vanman at the University of Queensland.
We’re excited for what’s ahead. The beginning of a long and productive collaboration between Australia and Germany.
